Is there an acreage limitation on USDA loans?

In effect there is, but it is based on site value not the actual amount of acreage. The site value must be 30% or less than the total value of the property. When the site is typical for the area and cannot be subdivided in two or more sites, the 30% limitation may be exceeded per 1980.313. davidmarsh@myUSDAlender.com
