Is it likely that future tax revisions will eliminate the tax deductibility of interst on a first lien home equity loan?

Hard to say, there have been proposals to eliminate mortgage interest paid, but no action yet. If you asked me to put a % on it happening in the next 5 years, I would say less than 30%, but certainly possible.
