Does owning a mobile home keep me from qualifying for first time home buyer?

If the mobile home is classified as personal property, rather than real estate, it should not interfere with any first time home owner incentives. If the home was on leased ground, if you’re paying personal property taxes rather than real estate taxes, it’s personal property, much like a travel trailer or boat. If you’re unsure whether your home was personal or real property, your county assessor will be able to tell you.
